Sara Eisen

SaraSara Aliza Eisen, an American television journalist, is currently affiliated with CNBC. She is the anchor for the channel's shows 'Squawk On the Street' (Closing Bell) and 'Squawk on the Street' (CNBC). She's an Ohio native, but was not at all interested in markets or currencies when she was in college. While attending New York University, she completed an internship at an online startup called ForexTV.com. It was there that she had her first encounter working with business news. After that, she received an advanced degree in broadcast journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. After that, she did an internship of four months at Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong. She returned to the USA and was hired by Bloomberg's New York office. She was a TV anchor eventually. CNBC appointed her in December 2013 to be reporter. After working as co-anchor on "Worldwide Exchange" as well as Power Lunch', she was hired by CNBC in December 2013. Then, she was offered the job at Closing Bell in the year 2018. Eisen is co-anchoring "Squawk on the Street" since 2014. Her main goal since her arrival at CNBC has been global consumer news.
