Jana Kramer, an actor and singer-songwriter who specializes in country-pop music as well as songwriting rose to prominence on television after she was cast as Alex in the last three seasons of One Tree Hill. Kramer was signed a contract with Elektra Records, and she introduced her new contemporary country song I Won't Give up on the One Tree Hill 2011 episode. The track was later featured on her debut album in mid 2012. This song landed on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart in the Top Five. She continued acting in films such as Heart of the Country 2013 or Country Crush 2016 which would appeal to her fans. In October of 2015, Kramer came out with Thirty One with Warner Music Nashville.
